Alte Fasanerie Klein-Auheim . 16.01.2013 . arctic wolves . Monja & Ayla . young wolf and her alpha _____________________________________ Oh my ... this was such an incredible day I was waiting for snow since the end of december, as I've got a voucher from my boyfriend to carry me to and stay with me in Klein-Auheim (this sounds not that generous, but you have to mind, that he's no wolf fan, has no camera and it's 2 hours one way) and I really want to use it when it's snowing. I'm such a lucky girl, that exactly today, when I had no university and he could take a day off, it was a perfect winterwonderland. As always on a normal working day, the park was nearly empty and the wolves were lucky about someone who drives the boredom away. And they were freaking out because of the snow! Never seen them so playful, happy dancing, running and loving each other I've shot more photos than ever, even though it was too cold to stay more than 4 hours. But these 4 hours had been one of the best with them. I'm so in love with these six amazing wolves, no other wolf - really no one - compares to them.
But enough jubilation, this photo immediatly catched my eye as it shows everything I've said above. Monja and her siblings were playing quite roughly and sometimes they hustled one of the older wolves and as Ayla is the unchallenged Alpha, Monja had to say sorry for that
Were they friendly to you or you did not pet them? ^^ i would've. They really look peaceful and they can sense whether you are good or bad so it should be ok
It's not possible to pet them. They live in an enclosure with two fences - one with electricity. But they are handraised so the younger packmembers would be friendly, the older ones and especially the alpha is very territorial so it wouldn't be a good idea to enter his enclosure
